I have an 84 honda vf 500 f that I am cleaning the carbs on. Upon removal of the carbs I noticed the left rear carb had a piece busted off. Checked ebay couldn't find anything. I'm wondering if the 750f has the same carb body? Of ourse I know I'd have to swap the guts of mine over. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Good pic of the bike, but a picture of the busted carb would be helpful too.

I think the VTR250 would swap over more than the 750. The engines are similar.

Maybe this could be braised back together?

Do you have piece that broke off?

Perhaps you can cut piece to match from alloy tubiing.

Then braze together with https://www.alumiweld.com

Stuff is amazing! I've rejoined broken alternator ears with it for permanent repairs.

Yes I have the piece that broke off. I brought it to work to see if the welders could tig weld it back together, but they say it's not going to work.

Conventional welding isn’t possible with the die cast parts ….Lumiweld is a form of brazing, they’ll be able to do that

The Lumiweld material when it cools is much harder than alloy so if possible try not to have to drill it
