Last 50 of 1,546- In Dutch, it's called a "Garage" If you anchor the feet of the racks, and anchor to the wall, you should be fine with an extra beam on the wall side lower down. Another general principle is to not exceed beam deflection by (beam length)/180".
- In Dutch, it's called a "Garage" As an engineer. No. Just....no. Do not put that much moment on your walls. They're not designed for that. Unistrut isn't really meant for doing what you want to do. That angle bracket especially. Its great for easy…
- Bumblebee from Croatia :) Hi and welcome. Where in Croatia are you? I have family near Rijeka, but from Bukovica.
- This did not end well. Yeah. I've been trying to keep some sort of tabs on this place. I don't think I've had a legitimate year of riding, or even wrenching, in 7 years or something, so haven't had much to contribute. Cool to see a lot of…
- This did not end well. This is a good PSA to bring up for spring. Don't remember if it was my pants or jacket, but the armor fell apart and I replaced it with whatever STG was selling.
- VFRD is broke Really appreciate all the work you do to keep this place open. It was a big part of my early motorcycle times. Helping pay the bills is the least I can do.
- 84 vf500f carb Good pic of the bike, but a picture of the busted carb would be helpful too. I think the VTR250 would swap over more than the 750. The engines are similar.
- Time to crank up the SuperCharger. 2 hours ago, squirrelman supercharger on your vfr ?? bike will overheat easily, and the clutch might not be able to handle the extra power. RAEVA MI VERKER ! :laughing6-hehe: :laughing6-hehe: :laughing6-hehe:…
- Can't find what wattage the stator on a 3rd gen puts out. The consensus some decade ago was the 94-97 did around 500W total, with about 250W of that overhead for accessories.
- This is what happens... You got 11k out of a tire. Replace it and enjoy some twisties before the tire gets cupped from commuting again. Maybe get a tire that has a harder rubber on those sections.
- Carb balance adjusting screws You can try. I've been fine laying a rag over the hot parts and reach in bare handed. Either used a tiny screwdriver or a socket. It's not a fun job either way. I think the longer screws might make it harder to reach.
- Rescuing a '92 VFR750F Great progress! That tank inside looks miles better than when you started. :fing02:
- Rescuing a '92 VFR750F :excl: DO NOT USE KREEM!!!!!! That stuff is junk most of the time. Better option is the POR-15 kit. Otherwise, see my earlier post. Congrats on having it fire over. I've you've been in one carb you've been through them…
- Oil Changes, Hot vs. Cold Changing oil hot doesn't make much sense when you think about it (when not in a time crunch). What is the advantage of changing the oil when it's hot/warm? It will flow through the engine and drain faster right? Well…
- beware of new spammer Russian hacking group is on a spree. Doing whatever damage they possibly can to celebrate the 4th of July.
- Rescuing a '92 VFR750F I've had good luck with CLR followed by an isopropyl rinse and hair dryer drying. Just leave it in for a few days and shake it every so often.
- Material to use on 3D printing grab handle spacers for OEM luggage mounts? Where are these files? What do these things look like? If round spacers, why not aluminum? If not round spacers, why not aluminum? Otherwise either a Nylon or PETG.
- Double Side Swingarm
- Working on my gen 4 Hole is there by design. Drain for water. There should be another hole closer to the swingarm pivot. Did the PO just spray paint the rear caliper? Everything being hard to come apart is pretty normal for a bike that…
- Have you ever seen two uglier VFR's in the same pic? I think you got me beat easy on most ruined VFR. Poor 3 & 5.
- Best type of front paddock stand I go right to the triple tree stand. Then I can pull the wheel/forks if I need to. Front stand that lifts from the forks/calipers aren't great if you need to work on something.
- Chain Oiler debate Riveted vs Linked. From ANSI roller chain tech documents, a slip fit chain is 20% weaker than the riveted chain. Some chain designs it's less. Have to look at technical details from the MFG.
- Chain Oiler debate The unofficial offical claim about the Regina/BMW no-lube chain is that you DO still need to clean your chain, but don't need to lube it, and should get 30k+ miles from it. But if someone is interested in a Scottoiler,…
- Rescuing a '92 VFR750F You can jump the ignition out at the harness connector if you want to save the effort of drilling it out. But you seem to be a long way from worrying about the key working. Good luck. I'd be real curious how much of…
- FS: Yoshimura Half Header System: SOLD! Your chance to own a bit of unobtainium. Pretty much brand new. I've never mounted it. Uses the stock front down pipes IIRC. [image: spacer.png] $500 + shipping. For a 94-97 VFR, think they will fit a 3rd gen as well.
- Saving topic discussion threads It's not easy to use, but HTTrack Website Copier can do it.
- WSBK ROUND 2 Honda missed their window to reclaim their V4 glory when the RSV4 came out a decade ago, and has no chance now that Ducati has their own V4. Honda is an accountant group with a hobby of making motor vehicles.
- VF500F2 Aka MBD Incubation Period At Least 52 Years That fork fluid looks like it would have left some solid behind. Yummy.
- VFR to RC45 "ish" replica budget build monstar, 5/14/2020 at 1:15 AM SORRY. My bad... I meant sprocket center! I'll give sprocket specialist a try, website looks like they do quality stuff. Just saw that they have the 520 steel sprockets back in stock at…
- VFR to RC45 "ish" replica budget build Had to take a look around. Absolutely stupid. Vortex makes and aluminum rear. I have a used one. You can buy off their site. If you do the individual sprocket, they say they don't do a steel sprocket. BUT...Go to…
- VFR to RC45 "ish" replica budget build 2 hours ago, monstar Anyone have a new 520 rear sprocket for a 4th gen? The only company I know that sells them have been waiting on their chinese supplier with no word on when they'll get them. I have been waiting…
- Hard Bags for a '98 I have the wingrack II on my 5th gen. Highly recommend it. It's built like a rock, and can take 3 big bags no issues.
- Hard Bags for a '98 Have to find a GIVI rack, then you can run any bags you want. Not sure if anyone else makes a rack for the 5th gen.
- White love... TheDutchy, 2/1/2020 at 4:52 PM The bike has been stripped down to the bone… It's engine.. [image: 10.jpg] That is absolutely horrendous. What a labor of love to clean that up.
- Carburettor slide diaphragm Thumbs, 12/18/2019 at 8:00 AM NRP have diaphragms for nearly all the Honda models http://www.nrp-carbs.co.uk/honda_carburettor_diaphragms.htm The prices are +20% tax CBR600 F2/3 and VFR750 94-97 are listed as "call". I…
- Carburettor slide diaphragm I was in talks to get new diaphragms made, but communication halted last year. They weren't as straightforward to replace as some other models.
- Tyga 8 hours ago, Smack My pipes arrived in the mail yesterday, approx. 10 days after ordering. I'll unpack 'em this weekend..... can't wait. Brian :worthlesswithoutpics:
- Tyga I am ordering this week for a project.
- Tyga 6 hours ago, CharlieFoxtrot Tyga's Facebook says details will be released soon, says the price will be similar to their NC30-NC35 systems, so around $1000 USD with an aluminum silencer. No mention yet of a right exit.…

- Triumph Eccentric Swap (pic heavy) (not complete) [image: giphy.gif] It's a secret, for now.
- 4th gen Carb Vacuum Pistons Group Buy I contacted the guy a long time ago now and mentioned the order numbers I had and that they would also fit these other bikes, increasing the order size, and never heard back.
- Tyga You have my attention... Is there going to be an initial bulk/group order or will they be listed on their site for individual order?
- Do you find draining the oil a PITA ? And I submit my retort. You need a Stahlbus drain valve. Comes with hose attached to the mating part, solving the biggest issue of controlling where all that oil goes. Available with safety wire drilled cap. [image:…
- Just picked up a mint RC36 tonight and something went wrong on the way home I've never seen that before. Lucky it wasn't stripped threads. I'd probably replace all the plugs. Rears are easy. The fronts, you remove the lower radiator bolt, loosen the top, and you can hinge it forward towards the…
- WSBK Laguna Seca 2019 Flying in Thursday night. Camping trackside Fri-Sat, and catching the flight back home Sunday.
- WSBK Laguna Seca 2019 See you there!
- VFR Alternatives / Where to from here? What exactly are you looking for? Plenty of 8th gens should be available somewhere in a dealership. CBR650F Suzuki Katana Triumph Speed Triple MV Turismo Veloce [image: mv-agusta-turismo-veloce-lusso-scs.jpg?r]
- 2019 VFRD Memorial Spring Ride I don't see ticket options for the go kart track. What's up with that?
- Fuel tank alternatives? 84 VFR 500 The engines are different too. Can't swap heads between 84+85 and the 86.
