I took my VFR to work for the first time

It was a gorgeous, clear Texas day today with temps in the upper 60's, and so I rode the VFR to work for the first time ever.

Parking next to a pair of bikes with stripes all over and decals on the exhaust cans, the clean look of the VFR made men lust after her.

I can't even count how many times I heard, "Wow, what kind of bike is that?" from guys who dream of buying a 600 or 1000 like their buddies have.

It was fun.

Thought I'd share.

I'm jealous, the silver makes for a sweet looking ride. I'm also jealous of your weather. In today's commute, I enjoyed 30 mph winds at about 35 degree temps with a rain/snow mix in the morning, and 48 mph winds and 26 degree temps in the evening. Made for a memorable ride. John

I've always liked the solid color bikes too, no stripes, flames , splashes,etc. :D I can't figure why VFR owners add all the stuff that makes them look like a CBR ! <_<

I agree for the most part. CBR's have too much stuff. I would like to see a little bit of accent on the VTEC, though. Maybe a HONDA logo down at the bottom of the fairing for all to see when we are at maximum lean! :wheel:

I totally agree, I'm also not a fan for the stickers, colourful add-ons and stuff like that. In Canada we say they went to Crappy Tire and splurged.

Basically I think if you look at quality cars and bikes, it's solid paint, chrome, rubber and nice lines. THAT's it.

One of the first things I do when I get a new bike or vehicle is take all the cheesy stickers off of it. I'd have taken the Honda off the tank but it's under the clear coat............

Exactly! I'd have to play with a white or black HONDA decal so see which I liked best, but that's exactly what I was talking about. :thumbsup:

Ride every day or don't wanna got to work at all,only reason to go to work is you have ride your bike there and home.

Somthing crazy about getting off work at 7am putting on my stich dusting the frost off the seat, and plugging in the farlkes for a ride home strait into the sun. 20 degrees out and boy is it cold. I wear my motorcycle tee shirts at work and always get a comment from coworkers "hey is that you? The crazy guy on the red bike in the mornings'?

"Loud red bike yea thats me"

That's actually a small Jansport backpack that is basically the same dimension as the rear portion of the seat.

I cut the straps and installed the "female" portion of a snap in them and have the "male" screw snaps installed into the underside of the seat itself.

Easy to remove and no straps touching the bodywork at all.

It's kind of a small stealth bag that's big enough for a typical day ride without being too obvious.

I did the same thing (peeled all stickers that would come off) the only bad thing is that the guy at the gas station thinks I ride a Beemer. The tank bag covers the logo on the tank.

im with you too....i dont have a single honda, interceptor, or vfr decal any where on my bike. just the honda wings on the tank. as soon as i find a safe way to pull the mig emblems off my pipes they are gone too.
