Just brought home my new '05 VFR this morning (red, non-ABS). What a great ride-- smooth and refined power and handling, nice VTEC feeling when you hit just over 7K rpm's, etc. I think I'm going to like this bike ALOT!
I've looked around the site quite a bit and what a wealth of information and entertainment I found. Look forward to learning all I can about rides, mods, maintenance, etc. Also I'm hopeful about meeting up with fellow VFR riders in the Austin and/or TX hill country.
About me- I've ridden all my life, recently moved to Austin from Waco, have owned multiple bikes of all types (Honda, Suz, Yam, BMW, Harley). Work for technology co (Sales/Mktg), ride mtn and road bikes, play golf badly.

http://twtex.com/It is not a VFR site, but there are a crapload of Texas VFR riders there :beer: There are also tons of folks in the Austin area and they do a regular weekly bike night. I'm getting ready to run a group of folks out to Big Bend in mid April and then we are doing another get together out at Kerrville at the end of April to run around the Hill Country.
Slammer's got a great site here, the result of LOTS of hours of hard work and dedication. It shows. It is an invaluable resource for VFR owners.

Mutual envy, I love it. Seems no matter where I live, I always wish I were living somewhere else. I miss Austin like hell. If I were to move back there, I'd probably be missing the Bay Area. :goofy:
Okay, so its not so bad to be here! But now I negotiate for orders based on road bike, mountain bike and motorcycle requirements! Pearl Harbor and San Diego are on my wish list because I can ride all of them year round in either of those places, just like here...places like Norfolk, Bath (Maine), or Ingleside (Texas) are off because they'd suck for one or all of them.
Really wish I'd been into at least one of these things while I was in school at UT though. I only got to ride my old bike up to Austin from Corpus Christi once while I was stationed there, and I didn't have enough time to play in the hills like I wanted to...
