Vanishing VFR,s Motorcycle Factory

They said it was to good to be true and it was. The guy's at motorcycle Factory have pulled the 7999$ 04 abs VFR's! I called my original salesman named "A" to protect the innocent and asked about the difference in pricing of the 03abs VRF at 8k to the 04 abs VFR's at motorcycle Factory also at 8k. He said it is impossible, 800$ below cost for an 04. I called Motorcycle Factory and spoke to salesman "DA" He said yeah we have got them how many and what color. To make a long story short in less than an hour "DA" called me back stating that these bikes were no longer available, they have been pulled. Boys and girls there is still no free lunch and 8K for a new 04abs VFR is an illusion. B) P.S. I will sell you a print out of the web page with the 8k VFR,s what do you bid! P.S.S they are pictured as "Silver" very rare indeed. :lol:

Well the "A" really means the first guy, but the "DA" well you got it right! :goofy:

This is very interesting, their web site still has the bikes listed.

I have not been back to the store since last week. As of then they were available.

I wonder if Honda jumped all over the MFI dealer?

I also relayed my dissatisfaction with the dealer to my salesman, the same DA you talked to, that I thought the owner should make some kind of good faith gesture towards me since I paid such a large delta from what these bikes were being offered at. As of today I had still not heard back from DA.

This will be a very interesting story as it develops.

I originaly went to Shennadoah Honda they have 05abs VFR's for 9700. They offered me the 03 for 8k. The sales guy there is straightforward and knows the people at M.F. he said they have alot of employee turnover and figures that is the cause of the misquoting of prices. I'll stick with Shenn. Honda a no B.S. dealer. B)
