charged the bike to 12.75 (2 hours) but the batterie is losing charge fast. I can see by putting the mutimeter on it drop. actually drop .35V in 2 hour

this morning charged the batterie again, start the bike and went for a ride.
Was looking good, till i see that the speedo and tach dosent work when putting flasher or braking.

i tried revving it up near 5000rpm with the flasher on and the tach needle would go up and down with the flasher.
So the alternator is giving power but maybe something is taking more?

so i understand the batterie is dead. But why was it not charging?
any idea?

i've read the how to check batterie and charging, going to look into it tonite but is this indicate something to you?

Yep. Bad reg/rec. Because your battery is now damaged, I'd put my money on a reg/rec failure in "overcharge" mode. Your money, however, will be going on a new reg/rec and a new battery...
