I did a search and couldn't find an answer. What is the oil drain plug torque spec for my '97? I know the oil filter torque spec is 7 ft/lbs. I haven't received my service manual from Ron Ayers yet, and I am changing oil this weekend.

Thanks!

On my '03 the drain plug should be torqued to 22 ft/lbs and the oil filter should be tightened to 20 ft/lbs. I would think they would be the same between a 5th and 6th generation. Then again what do I know?

Nevermind... I am a dork. It says it right in front of my face in my Owner's manual: 7 ft/lbs for the filter and 27 ft/lbs for the drain plug... :joystick:
