Well what can I say. I've had my eye on a VFR for awhile now and just picked it up last Saturday: 0 miles on the odometer. Now it's Friday and I have 600 miles on the bike. The weather has been great up here in St. Paul, Minnesota!

I've been watching VFRD for awhile now and decided it is time to become a member and throw out my first post. I'm looking forward to being part of the community.

Enjoy the ride,
Jim

Jim,

Welcome! This is a great site. Lots of information and seems like a great group of people.

I just picked up my Silver 03 and what a refined machine. I haven't been as lucky as you weather wise. I picked it up Friday evening and we were buried in snow Saturday. Tuesday it got up to 78 so I got about 100 miles in. Typical Cleveland weather at this time of year. Can't wait for tomorrow for the next ride. What year is your unit?

Congrats! I'm in the Twin Cities too, bought an 03 Red VFR from Belle Plaine motorsports this year. Previously had an FZ1 (crashed last year).
The VFR handles much better and is more refined. The FZ is the only Yamaha I've ever owned (always been a Honda man).

Me and some people I work with will be riding down around Red Wing on Sunday. We're a mixed group, there will be my VFR, a 97 Kawi GPz, an 04 ST1300 and an 02 Gold Wing.
