since I'm convinced that success must be celebrated, here's a post to show the happy face of my wife at her first ride after a VEEEEERY long pause in riding.
We met almost 20 years ago due to a common friend (a track mate of mine was a colleague of hers), and both were united by the passion of bike: she was a biker too 😎
Then, you know... things happen 😁
Well, long story short, she quitted riding after the pregnancy, and never went back on seat after our son was born.
Yesterday, after 16 years of stop, she had her first ride with her own bike, a lovely Cagiva Raptor 650.
She was clumsy and shy, as obvious, but her grin got larger as the miles were passing by.
Here's the pic to witness the ride 🤘

and here's the prize

Of, course, riding at her pace (50-60 kmh, 30-35 mph) with a recalcitrant Firestorm has NOT been a pleasing and relaxing ride at all 😅, but it was worth it 🙂
Very cool.Hopefully she will soon feel confident again. Some great mountain passes not far from there. It has been a while since I last rode there. I remember it being very hot (36C) but the scenery was breathtaking (besides the south east part with all the campsites).
Hi V4!
I see you're from NL: there's plenty of Dutchmen here from Pentecost to September 🙂
And you're right :it get hot sometimes, but generally the weather is lovely (warm, but not hot) and yes, sceneries are breathtaking ❤️
PS: I'll be in NL very soon for a business trip, in Sluiskil. close to Terneuzen
