Ummmm, Yes I think you had good reason not to think of this. Sounds kind of silly.

Those Streetfighters in the UK with the ridiculously jacked tailsections are likely the inspiriation for this mod.

Looks real comfy. Not.

These are called "German asses" in Sweden. The germans really excel in this stuff. Can't stand it myself. Going back to the original topic, I sincerely doubt that this is the inspiration. Take a look at any sportsbike and you'll find much higher tail sections than the touring styled VFR.

Yours is almost screaming for an underseat exhaust. I cant quite figure out what tail section that is off of, looks like a race rc51 section but it could be an older gixxer too, beats me, but an underseat exhaust would kill on that bike. I mean its sitting way up there like a dirt bike or somthing?

Looks like a stinkbug now. No thanks. A lower center of gravity is always best.

Agreed - but it does put more weight on the front wheel too...

I lowered the rear end about an inch, since that photo was taken, plus it was taken at an angle the made it look like its sticking its ass in the air more than it really is. But yea the idea has crossed my mind a many times, but I would hate to chop up the RC30 exhaust (maybe a new VFR exhaust could be adapted). For now, Im putting all my money into a new front end (maybe 929 forks), and breaks. Im happy with how the tail turned out so its last on my list of things to rework.
