Well, through a contorted turn of events over the winter, starting with the powdercoaters botching the job my original upper triple clamp, I wound up with no less than 3 upper triple clamps.
I had found this nifty billet triple on EBAY and turned Safe-T onto it, figuring it was a bit spendy for me at the time. He in turn, bought it and sold me his OE Honda one to replace my buggered one:

Well, after chewing on it for some time, I bit the bullet and got one, they were just too dang nice.
BUT, it wasn't black, and didn't match the bike.
What to do, what to do.
AHA, get it anodized black! idea3.gif

Isn't it to drool for?
Sorry Rick, I just had to. If it's any consolation, your triple went to a good home. It is residing in Texas and will wind up on Larry's '93 Viffer. 491.gif
magellan, Jan 20 2006, 11:28 AMThis is now on your RC51 front end, right? So does that make this triple a match for a VFR or a 929/954?
It's the 929/954 application. Which of course has the same centres as the RC51 lower triple. Bolts right on.
The manufacturer has this blurb as to why I should own one:
Give your bike the factory look with a VORTEX Triple Clamp. Machined from solid billet, these clamps are much stronger than stock units. Increased strength help reduce fork flex, creating a more stable front end.
Of course, I just bought it because it looks like moto-porn. warranty.gif

No problem - share the wealth. That looks nice in black, too. On the other hand, now I have to get mine gold plated or something...you are costing me a fortune, Rob goofy.gif
