Guys, any help on how to drain my gas from the tank besides driving until it is empty will be helpful. I am moving to the East coast from lovely Northern California (boo hoo) and the moving company is requiring me to do this. Thanks,

You may want to ask how empty they mean. I've shipped my bike by air and found they require a sealed battery and less than 1/4 tank of gas. I believe that was IATA rules. At the time . I removed my plastic only to find I could have walked off the plane and rode away on my bike. I would buy some 5/16th tubing and drain the tank on the bike if you have to. Also, I've heard a letter is needed from a honda dealer saying the tank is empty, people have had to do. Also if your bike smells like gas spray some WD-40 on the area and the smell will be gone. Good luck

Hey Mac, I just had a thought! idea3.gif If you want to spring for an airline ticket, I'll fly on out there and ride your motorcycle to California for you. I'm not sure when you're moving, but a friend of mine is picking up his friend's Shadow in Ohio and riding it to SF in late May, so maybe I could meet up with him. Let me know. We can work out the details! biggrin.gif ~Tim
I'm heading to New England, Rhode Island to be specific. Will spend lots of time however up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire so while the time of year for riding is limited, I'll do as much as possible when I can.
Thanks for all the input guys. Much appreciated.
Cheers, Mac
