Could someone please give me stupid proof instructions for installing Genmar risers on my 2002?

did any directions come with your risers ,follow them ,but do one side at a time ,makes it less confusing
Remove the circlip at the top of the forks. This is the thin wire-like ring.
Undo the 12mm headed bar clamp bolt and lift the bar off the fork leg.
Slip the bar riser down the fork leg with the riser pin fitting into the slot.
Replace the handle bar back onto the fork leg with ensure the pin of the handle bar locates into the slot in the riser.
Place the top cap into the bar and tighten the bolt to 14ft-lbs.
