I have completed the MSF course and I love the V4's soundtrack

I would like to powdercoat the wheels silver, get a Sargent seat and eventually some Staintunes

It had 1519 miles when I picked it up two weeks ago. It just turned over 1600 last night. I'm getting more confortable with it....I probably should have chosen something a bit smaller but I am pretty responsible...

Oh... is that what they look like when they are new and shiny... it's been so long. Mine is clearly in need of a good wash-n-wax. Dang, I didn't think mine looked that bad... until I saw your photos. Your bike 'shines'! I'll get on it tomorrow (hehehe).

Welcome to the forum. I remember the first day I got my bike, it was raining and I went out and tested the ABS feature by standing up on my rear brake pedal at about 40mph in the rain. ABS is the @#$^. Great looking bike. If you wanting silver wheels, i'm sure theres someone else on the forum wanting black wheels. Post up that your looking to trade, i'm sure someone would be willing to trade. It would be a lot faster and cheaper to ship than to powercoat. I'm moving to Orlando in 2 weeks. Hope to seeya around FL sometime =)

nice bike! I got mine with 6,000 miles on it, and it now has about 21,000 miles. yep - mine is definatley dirty.......

It's fun to read your post because I was in the exact same point at the beginning of summer. '03 VFR with ABS and only 1500 miles.
Issues I had: the previous owner didn't ride enough so it ran pretty bad. It had no low-end torque and would stall pretty easy. Along with the premium fuel, I ran one full tank of racing fuel and that helped a lot. Also, make sure the tires are up to pressure (super important).
Also, I've had about 6 other bikes and none of them are like this one. I will admit that I let the bike fall over, twice (cringe) because I wasn't use to it. Once, I thought I put the kickstand down, but it just popped back up, hence I dropped the bike. Worse, it fell on my wifes car and dented my tank (her car was fine). The other time was when I was stopped at a light and was adjusting my nuts, gently swinging the bike side to side. Well, a little too much and that 500 pounds was going down and I couldn't stop it. It surprised me how much it weighs.
Anyway, I realized that I just needed to put a couple thousand miles on it before I got comfortable.

Since then, I've got Motovation Sliders, Heli Bars, Power Commander (and dyno), blue dash lighting, custom windscreens, mod stock pipes, and more. Have fun!
