I went to the shop today, they were having a special for 3 dyno pulls for $10.00. I have 767fixers mig exhaust pipes on it and that's about it. The bike has 4600 miles on it. I just changed the oil about 800 miles ago. I have not changed the air filter yet, but the bike made 97.31hp @ 10,300 rpm and 53.51 ft./lbs. @ 8,900 rpm. The air/fuel ratio looks as if it's running pretty lean. I am wondering what everybody else is getting. I talked to the guy at the shop and he said that a power commander would really help. I am wondering if there are other things that people have done to their 6th gens to make more hp.
a power commander is almost a must to cure the lean running. flapper mod for more airflow will help and perhaps gutting the cats. but id do the PC III first

Trace gutted his 5th GEn cat, do a search for that - you might find it - I think it was reposted last week?. I too plan to gut the cat this winter on my 02 - if you find any tricks or tips- please post up! (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/beer.gif)
Don't add any more air to it without a PCIII (i.e. NO K&N, Deflapper, open airbox, etc, etc). If you add more air you will lean it out even more. Get a PCIII and get a tune and you'll be good to go!
I had the R1 dyno'd at Wheelers last weekend and it made 128rwhp/67rwtq! Not to shabby for a bike that only wieghs 440lbs wet

You know...... every time I tell the local rice that my V4 is really built around useable torque, they tell me that their R6s or 600RRs have 85+ ft-lb of torque. I knoew they were talking out of thier $#@es, but now I know.

Black are you sure about those numbers? (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/unsure.gif) My 04 put down 99.1 after dyno break-in and 104.7 with 3500 miles and Migs. Me thinks they might have had some dyno issues.
Phantom do you have the graph from your R1? Would be cool to compare it to my RR.

I heard it wasn't cold but that you still had significant shrinkage. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/blink.gif)

I put my 02 on the dyno in April. Bone stock with 9 000 km, it did 98.4. The Torque i using a diffrent value(N/m)

I am brother Chev. And I am here to teach the world about liter/litre V4 bikes. If you only have the chance to straddle one of these fine machines up, you too will become a believer. Everything you love about your VFR (maybe not the ergos, but I'm young and flexible) plus about 20 more RWHP, and I got better gas mileage than Stu and Edg's 6th gens today (by 0.1 gal) (IMG:http://hothacker.frac.dk/billeder/billederfunstuff/joda.jpg)
My 03 cranked out 102.7 hp in totaly stock form, the dyno operator made the first run and said the vetec kick was cool. He then called all the shop techs over to check out how the motor jumps at 6800 rpm. It was the first vetc they had dynoed.
Dyno's and operators can have a 5-10% variation so I wouldn't worry too much if it's above or below 100 hp. (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/beer.gif)
