Different Mirrors From Magical Racing Japan

Have a gander at these, apparently you can buy the mirror head, stem and mounting plate separately to concoct mirrors the way you would like them.


If I'm reading it right, the "C" type fitting plate matches ranges from 50-61mm, and IIRC, the non-vtec VFRs have a 50mm bolt spacing for their mirrors. Dunno about the vtecs.



NOTE THAT I HAVE NOT ORDERED THESE MIRRORS NOR RESEARCHED THEM BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN READ ON THE WEBPAGE. I CAN'T TELL YOU IF THEY WILL FIT YOUR BIKE OR NOT, YOU'LL HAVE TO DETERMINE THAT FOR YOURSELF.


Don't want anyone spending a ton of cash on my say-so and being disappointed, but from what I can read, they *should* work.

They're about $250-$300 for a pair, not including shipping, taxes, duty, etc. ohmy.gif

Hey - those are really quite good. I think anodised black stems would be more betterer though.
What struck me was the "race replica" bit. I don't think I've ever seen race bikes with mirrors....

if only the price was more reasonable...

You can select black from the pulldown menu for the stems.

If you "broke" your mirrors, you'd have to buy a new pair for "safety". fing02.gif

Criminy (Jiminy) - she didn't even approve of my NZ$53 horns. And that was the day after announcing her pea-sized chunk of black opal (to replace the crappy one I bought years ago at Melbourne Airport, that she then cracked by wearing in the shower) had cost her nearly AU$800...

She was ecstatic about the damage I inflicted on "our" VFR. Asking me if I was hurt at all was a definite afterthought.
Phark - that reads really badly. No wonder Christmas is a time for suicide and divorce.
I could go either way....

It's all about priorities: spending money on clothes and jewellery and $10K Christmases in Kalifornicatia is OK. Spending money on BoyToys is not.

Well, they do have them for the XX, and a long time ago someone from the Netherlands or Holland (I forget, but he was the president of the local VFR owners group) had modded their 800 to accept OEM Blackbird mirrors by doing some bodywork on the upper fairing and modifying the upper fairing bracket, so it would seem possible given some more money/time/skillz.

In case anyone's interested, the vtec bikes share mirror bolt patterns with most new CBRs, I know for a fact that an F4i mirror will bolt on.

I've seen that bike (some 6~7 years ago). Found a picture of it on the web....

I saw that but my main concern is the angle of the mirror in relation to the mounting point. The last thing I want to do is modify a pair of over $300.00 mirrors special ordered form the land of the rising sun.

I wouldn't modify the mirrors either, so I changed the upper fairing stay on my '99.

The Aero mirrors appear very similar to the Aprilia's. Find the proper bolt in the proper length, grind off the mirror mounts on your VFR's upper fairing stay, drill holes in the back of stay and bolt 'em up.

The XX mirrors require some fabbed pieces to position them properly on the VFR. Keep in mind the Magical Racing mirrors are too short and will mount at the wrong angle to see anything behind you except low-flying aircraft, but at least they look good.
