Got a Marsee 11L magnetic tank bag from New Enough (spoke with Nate, a great guy!). Put it on my new 2007 Red VFR and was horrified to have it keep blowing off...speeds above 80 and/or the stiff West Texas cross-winds seemed to do me in. I promptly returned it to New Enough (no hassles at all....great service). I am going to go the Bagster route. Anyone else ever have issues with magnetic tank bags. I do admit that I ride fairly aggressively! This Marsee bag had 4 individual magnets.

I got an Icon Primer magnetic tankbag a couple months ago and it's been great, even at 80-100 mph. Of course, no TX winds here, but if it held on at 100 mph...
If you keep having problems, might I suggest a strapped-down tailbag instead?
Same problem here in the Columbia River Gorge (40+ mph gusty crosswinds at times). I had my small Marsee blow off a couple of times, but I also didn't have the safety strap attached (lost it). I now have a large Marsee strap-on, which I bought because my current bike has a plastic tank. It's definitely less convenient, but more secure.
Excellent deal on some big Marsee bags at SierraTradingPost.com right now. I bought the 35L strap-on for $64.

Yep...gonna go the Bagster route. Also have hard bags ordered, but they are back-ordered and I have no idea when they will arrive.

The traditional Spring Trip from San Antonio to points West always has severe winds to contend with. My Tourmaster Cortech Mini Magnetic Tank Bag has clung like a leech at "elevated" cruising speeds and never so much as wiggled in the infamous Marfa crosswinds. Not the biggest tankbag at 11.5"l x 8"w x 5"h but it never crowds in mountain switchbacks or goes sailing off into the sagebrush.

I've got that one also and I hardly ever put the safety strap on it anymore because it sticks like glue. I stick it to the side of the tank when I refuel. Sometimes I wish it was just a tiny bit bigger but it's held strong for over a year now.
