I ride Honda's mostly because they're well built and little maintenance. I'm not so sure BMW would be so cheap to own. Also I like the looks of the VFR, its proven, been around a long time. Differnent strokes for different folks. I like the ZX14 and FJR and would buy one ina minute but am mostly a Honda guy. If Honda makes what I'm looking for I go that route first.

It is being reported that BMW will call back all 800 for two modifications to resolve the gearbox/drivetrain problems.
Riders from a german bike magazine report that the fixes are effective (IMG:style_emoticons/oldemoticons/fing02.gif)
As with anything brand new, let your enemies buy it the first year, your friends second year's model and then you buy the subsequent incarnation, all the gremlins taken out...

#1 is a new front sprocket (is it still called a sprocket if it is belt drive?)

the old one (at the bottom) is being replaced by a rubber cushioned version

#2 is the removal of a friction plate in the clutch and replaced it with a smaller plain plate

Pics are from a dutch mag that is leaning on its bigger german brother.
