Winter Mods Done

After months and months of strife, sweat, and beer, I finally corrected a mistake made by very few Honda owners.

Something tells me that a lack of winter maintence is what helped to kill my last bike. So, I undertook a major set of winter maintence items on the old VF to keep me busy during the cold months of ice and snow. Everything from cleaning to adjusting was set out to be done over the course of the winter months and this should pay off in performance and the lifespan of the bike.

But, we are here for the mods. Mods are one of those things that make you smile when you see them, every time you see them. They make life just a little bit mo-betta everytime you get to take advantage of the intended use. This winter's mod is no different. This is the kind of mod that makes a whole community proud of their existance. This mod shall go down in the history of all mods done to a bike, ever.

I see you take keyfobs a little more seriously than I do. Most of mine are bottle openers. What's the one that looks like a boat key float?

That is the matching fob... the one all the way on the right is a Repsol thingy that I put on Martina's key, because she had no fob, and I didn't want to risk losing the key... the one all the way on the left is my dad's beemer key.

I haven't gotten to ride it yet, but the oil leak went away and parts quit falling off fing02.gif I'd say it must be good for at least 30-35 hp though.

Drill a coupla' holes in it and get the weight down....maybe an aluminum ring instead of the steel one.......definetly was worth the winter work though.....oh yeah, small frame sliders to keep it off the top triple clamp when it's in the switch........ fing02.gif beer.gif
