Silver#788, Apr 3 2008, 11:25 AMIts not all back together yet but ...... What do you think.

I like blue.

You need a high mount so we can see that 8 spoke. biggrin.gif

very interesting. might look cooler with blue decals.

I am hunting for a color match blue vinyl to redo the stickers
#6
Boy. I do like that color. Glad you kept it to frame and supports. It's easy to get carried away.
#7
I like it!! Did you spray it or powder coat it.

Considered blue radiators too??
#8
Haha, George, you just couldn't wait to show it off could ya?! biggrin.gif

It'll all be back together on Saturday, and it looks even better in person. Everything blue is powder coated.

IF the blue is piant why not just paint the wings and so forth in the same color.
Its really quite easy, if you have a shop near you that can cut stickers they should
be able to cut you the reverse of them. Lay em on mask around for over spray
and lay it on fing02.gif ...

If you did the blue work your very capable of doing the logo's

It's all done now, and it looks completely amazing in person. I won't steal George's thunder, though. Hurry up and post some pics, man!!

Yea, I'm really anxious to see how this turned out.

Well, George let me act as his photog today, so here are pics of the final results. I love it. Pics don't do the color scheme justice. [image: gallery_5128_669_73018.jpg]

I absolutely love it! I was already thinking of this paint scheme for my wife's SV650!
#14
Looks good. fing02.gif

And unique. Not many people are gonna disassemble all that and get those parts coated. biggrin.gif
#15
This is awesome!!!!!

I don't think I could say I would have done more or less. You've got a nice scheme there.

I do wonder what something like this woud look like on an asphalt......... idea3.gif
#16
Love the blue, but too much white IMO. Looks like a pair of basketball shoes I used to own...

Where'r the front signals? Inside the headlight?

Like an unfinished hot rod? unsure.gif

Where's my dollar?!? warranty.gif goofy.gif

Very nice. I could get used to that blue. I'm with Seb. Blue front fender ?
#19
dbs05, Apr 13 2008, 03:20 PMBlue front fender ?

Might actually be overkill on the blue. The bike was already a beautiful pearlescent color (doesn't show in pics), so the blue is really supposed to be an accent.

Signals will be GSXR mirror/sigs very soon.

I like it, and think it has just the right amount of blue. fing02.gif
#21
I didn't like it at first, but now fully assembled I think it looks great! fing02.gif

Nice Job!
#22
A big thumbs up fing02.gif
#23
That blue me away rolleyes.gif Looks great fing02.gif
#24
Well Done.
#25
It is definately unusual and takes a bit getting used to and I like it fing02.gif
Especially the fact that you left the swingarm silver - woulda been too much.
#26
I like it, clean job fing02.gif
#27
Nice, but where are the indicators?
#28
Nice work. I like it too.
#29
I really like the colour scheme, and I'm sure it looks better in person too, hopefully at the Nelson meet, hint hint. smile.gif not a big fan of the blue trim around the screen though, a little too souped up ricer for me. fing02.gif
#30
sweet ride, you out did me with that frame coating too...bigger balls!

#31
Outstanding!! fing02.gif I agree with Muddawg, though - you really need to put a high mount on it to show off the 8-spoke.
#32
Very impressive and unique color scheme. I like it a lot. One-of a-kind bikes seldom look as good. Hope to see it in person one day.
