Seeing our bikes in mags, even just in the ads, is pretty cool.
Funny how the VFR doesn't seem to be that popular...until you flip thru bike mags...or show up at TMac and there are about 50 of 'em sitting around, begging to be flogged in the nearby twisties! :)

The main giveaway is the shape and location of the turn signal lenses. They're unique to the VFR. Also, if you look at the side, you can see the radiator opening (something most bikes don't have because their radiator is up front.)

That little Ninja is an excellent starter bike. It's nimble, runs a 15 in quarter, looks great, and costs only $3,500.
From a distance, the '08 Ninja 250 can be mistaken for a ZX-10R.

You know I actually like the looks of this bike, it looks a lot like to GPX600R Ninja of late 80s which I lusted after as a teenager. I think it looks 80s chic.

There is no comparison to the ride, power, handling, braking of the 07-down Ninja 250, and the 08......08 is worlds apart better....has turned into my "very twisty road" favorite. T-Mac "sealed the deal".............. :fing02:

I check out most of the non-cruiser mags and noticed that VFR's are showing up all over. Cool. I think it is the "Volvo" syndrome. Ever notice how often Volvos show up in ads for things? It is the "safe" car to use when something about cars (but not specific cars) is being portrayed. I think the VFR is similar...been around a long time...sporty yet logical...cool but not TOO cool, etc. It is the "everyman's" bike in some ways and the "bike to aspire to own" in some ways. Interesting. I agree, it is great to see one's bike ESPECIALLY THE RED 07!!!

I owned an 06 VFR (in my blog), and am still very fond of them. I still host rides in my area of Tennessee that are, on most days, 90% VFRs because they are rides composed of VFRD members. I originally became a member here because of VFR ownership. Might very well own another one one day. (IMO) knowing and learning about other bikes is an asset..."never too much knowledge". The new Ninja 250 has caused a lot of motorcycle stir(most every major M/C rag has a road test right now on it), even among VFRD members. A lotta' folks here are contemplating owning one or getting one for their wives. I spot every VFR on the road, and several members here were "recruited" by me. It doesn't look like an exact match, but things like that seldom are (it's close enough, however.) That's a modern and sporty-looking helmet. It would look great on a VFR rider.

That is all well and great that you have brought people to site. (gold medal) But how many people here are you runinng off because brining Ninja topic on to sixth gen fourm?
I have other bikes but I dont talk about my trials bike here and if I did it wouldnt be on (sixth gen) it would be in (other bikes).

Wow, chop the fender on that new Ninja and it's a nice looking ride! As for the Nighthawk... No excuse for that, Honda. It looks like it would be at home in a third world country. Come on Honda, spend a couple hours on a redesign.

Lighten up a little. I doubt a little banter about a different brand of bike is going to run anyone off. If skuuter was bashing VFRs and talking about how much better the Ninja was, that would be a different thing. I love my V-4s but I don't mind hearing about other bikes.
Not really aware of anyone I've ran off of this Site, but if I have, I'd be real interested in talking to them and find out exactly why. I post the same way I carry on a conversation......small tid-bits of "off-topic" information gets sprinkled into every topic started on here, as (IMO) it should be. As for pix of VFRs in print publication ads, ever notice the lack of Anniv models in them? Kinda funny considering how sweet they look. Perhaps the advertisers are afraid if they used RWB VFRs in their pix that no one would take notice of the products they're actually advertising! ;)

Not sure if i can mention his name since he doesnt ride a VFR now.. But i will say I owe him alot.. He has helped me in so many ways since I bought my frirst bike (A VFR) last august 07 Along with lots of help from others here both on and off topic...

2) The Honda 250 does look like it belongs in a 3rd world country. That was funny.
3) Going off-topic is acceptable sometimes... like in silly threads about how many times a VFR shows up in adverts. Does it really make your eye holes bleed to see Ninjas in VFR discussion?
4) I just got a Shoei X-11 (silver) and would recommend it to anyone. It's awesome. Just be sure to pull out the cheek pads when helmet shopping.
5) For the first time ever the 250 Ninja sounds cool, but the next big toy is going to be the DRZ400 enduro. (I'll keep the VFR of course)

You missed one. On page 117 ( it's all adds). The add for Metro Tank Panel System.
Check out the red VFR under the system. HOW do I know...look at the dash and risers and clutch lever.
OK I just noticed this post started in May and I'm talking about the Sept. 08 issue but the other 2 are still in this issue as well

Well I like the new little Ninja 250, and if I counted the Xs right that bike is a Triumph Speed Triple (am I right?), and Thomas you can tell me about your Trials bike I would be interested to know what kind you have, also what kind of big truck is that? I guess I like pretty much anything with an engine.

Back on topic of the mighty VFR in adds and whatnot.....I was on you tube scanning thru various Ron Paul,VFR and banjo playing vids and I came across one
with a Russian { or at least I think she's Russian } bodybuilder posing in front of a bike. And what bike is it u might ask....A 4th gen VFR. If anyone else has
seen it , could you be so kind as to give the link to it.....been searching here for a bit and cant seem to find it again.
