Just ordered a bug buster from Rivcyko a few weeks back.
He customed made the part for me and shipped it out when done.

Below are the pictures of my install:

Arrived just outta the box:

Out of the wrapper:

Tape with the protective film on:

After removing the protective film:

First, take off your screen and clean well around the area:

Then attache the bug buster like so:

Optional, but put on the Black Gunk on the top edge part:
http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/uploads/1211760380/gallery_13834_3819_83376.jpg

Place screen back on, Plexus polish the screen and part and you're done!:

Unfortuntely in my haste, I tried putting this in with the bike screen on to see how it fits, and when removing I accidently chipped the top left of the part.
You can see in above picture... I was really ripped about that. Not sure how to fix. At this point too late. Maybe a black magic marker! haha.

Sorry Rivcyko... I blew it :( Anyways the part still really looks cool, and you see the chip that is really noticeable cause this is a closeup pict with a flash.

Looks good! :fing02:

About the chip, just touch it up with some black paint. A lot of people do it on the frame, wheels, etc. No one will notice.

Cool, you got it. The address had me a bit confused. As for that corner, you can use a dab of epoxy. The epoxy may yellow a bit, but I don't think it will be noticeable. Epoxy will also help to overt and cracking, that MAY occur, from the chip. I'm sorry that happened. Bummer.

THANK YOU! I hope you enjoy it. Keep me posted on, "the other project", too. I highly recommend vinyl ester, but the path your on should be good. Just take your time. That's the biggest thing.

Okay, I am sick of searching, where the heck can I buy a Bug Buster?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

You won't be disappointed :fing02:

With the part, or the builder, he is a true craftsman.

But Trav,,,,,,when did they start comin with a Michigan hat???? did UPS take mine???

Please tell me you pitched that hat in the garbage, or wiped your chain spooge off with it and then threw it in the trash, or you WILL try to catch the oil from your next oil change in it. :goofy:

I keep looking at these, but can't decide...............I also like "different". If I do it in the future, it may be White with a thin Red stripe...............
#15
I want one of these but my PMs go ignored :(
#16
Not sure - but I think I have one of the first Bug Busters - other than Trav's own on his bike. I have absolutely loved this thing - it actually catches bees, wasps, and other BIG bugs that would have normally caught me in the throat.

Keep up the great work Trav!! :fing02:

Sorry, but you're not allowed to put any more red ornaments on your bike. You're pushing the 'bling' limit as it is.

Why waste money on paint? Bailey would probably give you a brown stripe for free! :squid: :goofy:

Ken, you mod-to-be, (Do IT!), Thank you,...............and all,..... Who made me, who I am. (Nice to have a niche).

You were the first, Ken, to grasp the newest processes. (And as always, thank You for bearing with me). BUT to be frank, The first to go out, and not return, went to DRUMJACK. God care for him. LOL. I recall his P.M., after he got it. He was so excited, and that made me excited. (Get you heads out of the gutter).

I was SO happy to hear of his satisfaction. LOL. I could sense it, through his P.M.

I miss him.

F#@k.

**sigh**

Back on topic,.... 3 out next week. THANKS GUYS! Need to hear back, from some folks. Don't get me wrong, I won't be upset, but,....I need to know, if your going to, or not. 2 custom B.B.'s, may be up for grabs, if I don't hear back,.............
