Sitting here working on my business schedule for the coming week, so I thought I would see what�s on ebay. Came across the Repsol(edited for SP :warranty: ) fairings for the VFR and actual bike pics. What do you guys think?
I've seen those on there before and wondered what they would look like installed myself. It looks pretty sharp IMHO but notice he painted the rims (optional, especially if you have black rims already) and the tank.

It looks like he also painted the windscreen, but all things considered it's pretty nice :fing02:
1. the kit cost an arm and a leg.
2. you have to repaint your tank and add the wing decals.
3. you have to paint the rins
4. after all the money that you put into it the bike may look nice but is NOT A REPSOL.
Now to make it even close to a repsol you will need to do the following.
add 200 more CC's to the motor.
replace the suspension
upgrade the brakes.
So after you drop about 10,000 into the bike you will have as close as possible to a true repsol.
with that much money you can buy a CBR Repsol

No it doesn't. Actually it's stoopid cheap. To compare, price a full set of Honda Respsol bodywork for the 1000RR and then go ask a good painter what they'd charge using your stock parts.

In this case that appears to be so but his other kits included a painted tank cover. Maybe he will add one to this kit too if you ask.

Yes, if you want to do it right but certainly not required. I've seen a couple of RC51's with the repsol kit with stock wheels and they look good.

Well, yeah but there never have been any repsol vfr's.
If you compare the pics to the actual set he's selling, the front fairing is a little bit different. The paint scheme is a little different, look close. Edit - nevermind, looks like he's changed it.
I like the flame kit. Looks pretty sexy. I just bought a black set that includes the tank cover.
These kits are dirt cheap compared to OEM fairings from Honda!! Somebody should get one of the racing painted kits as a track set. Also, one of the sellers provides a painted windscreen with his repsol kit. I think it would look good even with black wheels.

I will. I'm gonna take before and after pics and do a review of how the fitment is. It's going to be cool, it will look like a totally different bike with all the parts I've accumulated since I bought the bike in May. I'm taking the bike to a shop here in Austin to guide me through the install process. I'd hate to screw one of the pieces up because I didnt know what i was doing. Also, they're going to put custom Red VFR stickers on the tank cover and side fairings. I hope the tank cover fits so i don't have to spend another $200-300ish to get the tank matched. The kit won't be here for at least another 2 weeks though. He said it will take 10 days to make the custom all black kit w/ no stickers and then another god knows how long to get here from China. I've also got a 1 down front sprocket and a set of scorpion pipes that just came in, so it will be a different bike. Whheee! I'm like a little kid on Christmas right now!

I saw a guy last night (local bike night) that had an R-1 with a Rossi rep kit from Hong Kong. It was dark so I didn't get a real good look, but from what I could tell it looked very nice. He couldn't remember exactly who he ordered it from, but the fit and paint/stickers looked very good. Hope yours comes out just as nice.
