Hey Guys:

Have another question, did a search and it doesn't look like this has been discussed in a while or at least the last 90 days.

New to VFR's but not new to motorcycles.

I'm interested in a new 07 VFR w/ABS Anniversary Edition that a dealer said he could still bring in for me. What would be considered a "good deal" on this bike? I'm assuming the same bike in non-ABS would go for about a grand less?

I know products are worth "what the market will bear", but I'm interested in the price you guys would be comfortable in paying today or can someone give me a good calculation as a starting point?

Thanks in advance.

Yes, ABS adds $1k to retail price.

There was a 2007 RWB w/ ABS at Chaparral Motorsports in San Bernardino, CA that I saw two weeks ago at $9,995. Considering it had ABS, this $2,100 off of retail when it was new. Not saying this is the deal of the century, but new RWBs will be getting harder to find. At that price, reasonable negotiation within $500 of that price could be had, making it a pretty good value for a sought-after edition.

I'd say make them an offer of about $9000 OTD & negotiate from there. I'm only saying this because I bought my '06 ABS last year for $9500 OTD with the Honda extended warranty. And it is a CA. model. Good luck.

Bought my 07 (red) w/ abs back in may. Paid $8900 plus tax...no freight/no prep etc... just $8900. That was in the chicagoland/ northwest indiana area.

FYI: all 6th gens sold in the US are CA models. You have to go to Canada to find a "49-state" model. :warranty:

FYI: From a Canadian 2006 ABS owner to you all; "My 2006 metallic black ABS 49-State version cost me 13,200.00 Cdn......with the current (at that time exchange to Usd. funds) this equates into 11.500.00 Usd...Boy, Oh Boy is Honda Canada making a "Criminal Profit" from their Canadian customers....Thank God we have the water...you 'all have everything else...Cheap/affordable VFR's...CiaoJeffy
