Hopefully this is an easy/dumb fix before I call my dealer. I had the wiring recall done (dealer replaced main/front harnesses) Now I notice that my clock keeps resetting to 1:00 every time i start it. (I also noticed that when I turn my bike off, I don't see the clcok anymore, usually it still registers, but just not as bright as when started) Any ideas what could be wrong? Bike starts up fine with no hesitation.
Thanks Guys
Sounds like your clock is now on a switched circuit. It should be on a seprate circuit from the battery. I'd take it back to the dealer, they should fix it because they broke it. Good luck. pce.......
This happened to me after the recall as well. I tore the whole damn bike apart and finally found the tech didn't push the dash connector all the way in. I think you can get to it if you just pull the windshield off, there is only one connector going to the back the dash panel, with a black rubber boot on it. I just had to push it in about 2mm til it clicked and all was good.
of course by that time I had removed every other panel on the bike and reset every other connector.
Hope this helps.
I had the same thing happen after I rebuilt my '02. I found a blown fuse and after replacement everything is just fine.
Cheers,
