Well I stepped up to the plate and bought and 02 to keep my 86 company.
Yes I love it! Now I need some help. Is there a way to tell if all the recalls have been done. Is there a website that I can check or do I just need to dig in
Nice looking bike. I kinda wish they had done some of those spendy mods to mine before I bought it. I would give the Honda dealer a call. They should be able to run the number for you quickly to see if it has been done.

Try the web site suggested or call any Dealer and give them your VIN. #. The Tech was suppose to put a punch mark( ) at a specific location (corner) of the Vin. tag on the frame for each Recall done.

The wiring harness recall would be indicated by a punch mark on the VIN plate located 10mm below and to the left of the serial number ("JH2RC46xxxxxx").
Not sure about markings for other recalls.

I gotta say, the 86 has that little something. Pretty much the talk of the town in Nelson. Hope you'll still keep riding it.

SG
Thank you so much for that. Next time your down here look me up and Ill let you ride it.
Dont worry the 86 will get ridden still. But just not as hard. She will be getting new body work and paint and the f2 wheels and will be looked after with care. I really like the 86 but let face it. You cant compare the two. Both great bikes in their own way. I think the best part was bring it back to life and find all the old parts.
Thanks everyone for the help with the 6th gen!
