SO I ventured out last Sunday with my Buddy Matt...Sunday after 7pm..less traffic...More deer...We rode some of the back roads I ride on my bicycle. The hills were much easier to climb with the VFR :goofy: We ride for 1:45 minutes stop to call the wife and do a irrigation test. Asked wife if I could ride another ahh two hours, yeah I was loving it! :fing02:

We head back down the road to a side road. About half way there the Hurricane pre wind must have reached us...WHOO gusty wind on a motorcycle out on my first road ride...Wasn't too bad but it was unnerving to feel the bike pushing around..Much less dramatic than the bicycle which you basically would have to lean into the wind and hope you don't get blown off the road, literally...

We pull over..I told Matt I think we need to go home... His response was "I think so to" So off we head back to home...Gusty wind getting worse. THEN it starts light rain...yeah that'll worry a newbie! My "oh shit O meter" was going off...Managed to sneak home with almost no rain. Unfortunatly Matt had to ride back to his house, 20 minutes away. He got soaked!

It was a great first real ride!!! I love my VFR...Silver is faster  I had to do it :goofy:

Absolutely! Great to see that you are learning quickly...

Okay, sounds good. The gusty wind combined with the sprinkle would be a scary experience. Silver is faster, that is "Sword Silver" :-)

Been there and done that on a CBR 600, which doesn't weigh much more than a bicycle

Been there and done that on my VFR in the mountains, just missed a tornado by blind luck. . .

But you're wrong about the silver. A silver bike covered in a yellow cloak is the fastest of all! :goofy:

Dam he might be right... :goofy: I think maybe Lemon Glow yellow MIGHT be faster....In my case a 16 year old on a moped would be faster...But Ilook better
