Instead of spending a bunch to put an RC51 front end on a 6th gen VFR, the FZ1 has 43mm forks that are fully adjustable. Maybe we could slide them into the VFR triple clamps, maybe use the FZ1 or the VFR wheel, not sure.
We would need to know the following, fork length, axle diameter, ???
The question would be calipers, either machine a bracket for the stock ones (my suggestion for price reasons), or use the FZ1 calipers and master cyl.
Cheapest & easiest would be CBR600F4/ F4i forks, they are easy to find and brake systems/parts etc are bountiful. Cheaper than machining new brackets, even.
They are a bit shorter than the VFR forks, but if you are like most sporting VFR types, you've already raised your forks in the triples by 5-10mm, if you take away another 10-15mm, the tops will be below the top of the clip-on, but should still be safe.
They are fully adjustable.
Baileyrock has taken measurements before, maybe he can chime in with the exact numbers. You'll also need to de-link the brakes.
I have F4i forks and fender with vtec triples on my RCBVFR (4gen). It's all good. Additional pluses over the FZ1 choice: still use vfr rotors and wheel. You maybe able to also use the VTEC axle and spacers. I can't remember which (f4i or 4gen) of those I used in my build but I think it was F4i.
A friend of mine has an early FZ1 and I adjusted his suspension for him. To me the front rebound valving was softer when set to full hard then the stock valving in a 6th gen VFR. IMHO its not worth it.
