Hey folks,
I know 6th generation electrical problems have been done to death. I know because I had the short in the rear harness, did the mod, then had the recall performed, cooked the stator and RR...now...
When the bikes hot and the ambient temperature is above 95 the bike just dies as it comes down to idle. It doesn't matter whether I chop the throttle or I feather it down, it doesn't matter whether I try to hold the throttle just a tiny bit open...it just dies, then starts right back up. After thrity five miles on LA freeways I split lanes slowly through about five miles of surface streets to get home. Last night I had to restart the bike four times on my way up that surface street.
Grounds are good, voltage is consistent, can't find a chafe in any harness.
I did a search and didn't find anything germane but I'm pretty thick skinned so flame away if this too has been done to death (just point me in the right direction).
Thanks
