So after the ribbing I took in the Catskills, I went banana nuts crazy and washed my bike. Then I remembered talking about my loud exhaust that I took off. Then I installed the loud one and then took it off and then put on a third one, a D&D.

Then I cut 6 inches off the D&D, but I didnt like where it was. So after consulting with the large pile of exhausts, hangers and mid pipes I came up with this. kinda reminds me of the first generation HRC exhaust. All made in 30 mins at a total cost of zero. It isnt any louder than my 2bros, because I left the packing in.

My mother always said that they all are going to laugh at you. I never new that it would be for this.

Enjoy. Feel free to ridicule. I'm painting it black soon.

Make fun of him. Go for it. No one noticed the GLOCK stickers?!

#8
No worries guys, he just built it in anticipation of getting his hands on a VF...

...right?

Hey, at least you can see more of the wheel now! goofy.gif Kudos to you for finally washing your bike - that's the first time, right? laugh.gif

I do the same thing! The wall paper on my work computer looks offensive but is really a something else. About once a week someone comes by and tells me I should take it down. That guarantees its on another week.

Hey Timmy, I'm gonna talk talk to my coworkers and see if we can throw a fund raiser for a desperate fellow cop down on hard times. Maybe we can come up with enough money to hook you up with some professionally istalled pipes that look good. fing02.gif By the way didn't you say your brother had a shop. He must be pissed at you huh?

+1 (for keeping it to spite them all)

Well, it's definitely unique. I think it has a lot of potential, with a fair amount of paint. I vote flat, BBQ pit black, all of it.
#25
Looks like a street "bodge job" from one of those hole-in-the-wall, quickie, bike repair shops in the darkest corners of Bombay.
But I guess, that's the effect you were going for....
Great job, Mr. "MacGyver"!! fing02.gif

You guys are a harsh bunch of lemmings... it's unconventional and unfinished at the moment, but it's not THAT bad...

Timmy,

As the Irish say : Feck The Begrudgers"!!!

no cigar, but "A" for effort!
#29
Nice try biggrin.gif lets see the rest of the parts rolleyes.gif
#30
Not bad...It looks more "right" (for lack of a better word) with the side bags on.

But I can't seem to shake the notion that once you paint the exhaust black, and if you had a Torocharger installed, it would be the bike that Mad Max would ride... blink.gif

Actually I just realized how fitting that would be considering the name of the bike, the gloss black color, and Timmy's profession. idea3.gif

Timmy once again has redefined the VFR. Why all the hostility Tim? not enough people to beat up on downtown? hehe
#32
Man, we have to know a few things. You don't have to respond but...here goes?
1.) Is this for real?
2.) If it is real, WTF?
3.) Was there alcohol involved in making this exhaust?
4.) Was any animals or children harmed in making this exhaust?
5.) Did you attend the Gomer Pyle school for Exhaust Fabrication?

Just joking but damn... goofy.gif

In case an intervention was planned, Its alredy off. A nice stock looking Two Brothers resides there now in the stock location. You know they laughed at the Wright Brothers...........................................
#34
IMO, nobody else has one ! It's definitely a one-off..........

IT STAYS ! If they don't like it, tell 'em to find something they DO like and leave you alone, bro. Besides, you can't see it while your ridin', right ?

I know and they crashed a few times but wound up flyin' high. Don't give up and do keep working on it. This was just your first attempt and you only have 30 mins. invested!!! Hell, it probably took longer to take the pics and load them onto our site.
#36
OMG! Would you just sell me your bike so I can paint it red and put a proper exhaust on it? biggrin.gif I think Tim is testing the reliability of the V4 engine. Can you screw that thing to your gun and use it as a silencer? laugh.gif

TIMMMMMAHY!!!!
#37
Aww, you shoulda left it!

All these shlubs go and hack their exhaust shorter to make it look more "racy", unknowingly throwing their torque and low end power in the gutter... you coulda tuned that baby for some real high rpm power!! biggrin.gif
#38
Timmy,,, stick to what you do best. Arresting bad guys. Leave the welding and fabricating to the people in that trade and your bike will look good again. beer.gif
#39
My first thought was that it looked like a two-stroker's expansion chamber. Really fugly w/o the bags.

With the bags, not too bad.

I wouldn't classify it as 'epic fail', as it may look 'nicer' if painted.

As mentioned, without the bags, "that boy just ain't right!"

#40
OK, I retract the Epic Fail on the grounds that:
a - it's not a straight pipe
and
b - its not held on with either duct tape or bailing wire.
It does remind me of when we tried to make a snorkel intake and exhaust for a go cart so we could try and skim board behind it around the lake.

Is that rust or primer? I bet he is going to paint his tools flat black. It looks 100% better with that exhaust. biggrin.gif

I agree with Morbo. It NEEDS the bags there, but it's not THAT bad.

Shame you gave in.
#46
Man ,I'm telling you this work thing really sucks.......Another thread I almost missed. pissed.gif

Timmy,Dude, For the life of me,did you not know the effect of hanging farkles on your bike that are not flat black? I'm telling you,had you painted it flat black during the install you would have had a buy group signing up for those by now. blink.gif

I'm just kidding that thing was ugly....like your new dog. laugh.gif But we still love ya' man.

oh yea?

I have re-installed it and it sounds great. If it wasnt 22 degrees here, I woulda painted it black.
