Stock Vfr Seat

Like most, the stock vfr seat at some point, ya say it's got to go. I rode the vfr stock 20,000 mile, before I said I cant take it anymore. the Legs neck, and wrists were pretty easy cures.

The seat I improved alot , but still not at a level where I can ride multi houred days straight without some agony.


One of the real problems I found with the stock seat , is its hard, and the biggy? THe hard curve lines of the seat cut right into your innerthighs and buttocks. Including riding on your prostate from the angled downslope.

many say the Sargeant is the best, is the sargent or the corbin the tallest?

Do any of these seats have those cutting countour lines that cutt into you

Just looking for spelled out differences of improvement, not I luv my sargent , I luv may corbin.

get serious with what your new saddle really did for you in comparison, from ride height to function and comfort.

Give me some feed back, which seat is a 3,000 mile(36hour) cost to cost seat with no agony????

I've had both on a vtec and the corbin for me was the best at a super long day. The firmer the better in that regard. 36 hour coast to coast with no agony? You're dreaming big boy! :dry:

I find that a throttle lock is just as, maybe even more, important on long drones. Being able to drastically shift riding positions to avoid hot spots is very, very important but if your right hand is locked into one position you can't do this or you're very limited.

For cornering were you able to slide up against the tank with the corbin ,and is the corbin hump comfortable to sit on?


you know what I mean by those sharp courtour lines cutting into you after multihours, did you have that issue with either seat


which seats sits you taller

I tried both a corbin and Sargent on a 5th gen on 300 mile days in the twisties and opted for the Sargent.

what was the reasoning for the choice, what bothered you about the corbin?

I had a buddy with both seats so I tried them out for lengthy rides before I pulled the trigger.

I just found the Sargent more comfortable. :wub: My experience on the OEM seat is that I was good for one long day. After that things went downhill fast. I can now go multiple days without ass problems. When I get back from a week, I am tired allover but not destroyed. My seat if no worse than back, arms, hands, wrist, neck or whatever. Before the seat was the limiter and weak link....not now!

Take it from me....no seat will allow you to do 3000 miles in 36 hours comfortably. You wouldn't be comfortable in an Accord for that long! I can tell you that I have done several 1000 miles days in my Corbin on a 5th gen. Are you sore - Yes. Can you get back on and do another 800 the next day - Sure. I rode 1721 miles in under 30 hours in temps that rose over 100 degrees this summer and it was a bitch but you can't even attemp to do these things without a Corbin (or Sargent).

I've never used a Sargent but wouldn't have any problems buying one to replace the Corbin if I had to.

I'm the same way, 1st day seat feels good till about hour 5, next day, hour 2 mark ass pain well underway and this is not on completely stock seat, which would be even worse.

google Russle day long seats.

I just did a 3500 mile ride, ca to mo. Ca to denver, 1000 miles on day 1 and 700 or 800 miles on day 2. Then back to Ca. No butt problems WHAT-SO-EVER!!

with this Russle seat, I just stop to get gas & smoke every 240 miles, no need to stretch or walk off any numbness because there weren't any.

on stock seat, I last about 45 minutes. I can flat foot (both feet) on stock seat though, with the russle, both feet tipped. I'm in it to ride anyway, so once you get moving, you'll be loving the Russel.
