This is the end product (sorry the photo is a little dark). The license is as far to the rear of the bike as possible. Because of the angle of the stock exhaust, I may get a ticket on day from it not being visible enough.

Here is what was left. All the metal is gone, 95% of the plastic is gone. I probably saved a pound or more

I used a dremel with a cutting bit, cutting wheels with the plate itself and replaced all the bolts in the bike to maintain the dry area under the seat (yeah, I know it isn't completely dry.) About 45 minutes total to do the job.
