Bar Riser Questions.

I recently purchased a pair of bar risers for my 6th gen from a member of VFRD for $50.

I just got them today and I have a couple questions.

Can anyone tell what brand these are from the pictures? I'm just curious.

Are these designed for use with the stock bars?

From the rise that these will provide, does it look like I'll be able to stick with the stock lines?

I'm not sure when I'll do the installation; sometime over the winter. I just need to know if I'm going to have to look for aftermarket lines / bars.

They are multi adjustable and I look forward to trying them out.

It's not Gen Mar which raise my bars 1/2" - 3/4"?
Whatever the figure, it couldn't be much if any higher and retain the stock lines. :unsure:
Mine's a '98.

Those ar home-made by the look of it, I've certainly never seen the design before except with clamps for regular handlebars instead of posts for the clipons.

Also, you will have to grind off the engagement tab on the clip-on since there is no equivalent slot in the riser.

Personally, I doubt that these will fit your bike, and I'm willing to be that the previous owner never had them fitted to his either.

Just had another look at the pics - the post onto which you will be clamping the clip-on appears to be bolted to the lower block section by a tiny pair of allen bolts.

Definately not something I'd trust my safety to under heavy braking conditions.

My advice ? Keep them as something to look at in the garage or throw them in the bin and buy some decent ones.
