Not sure who it is, but I've seen it before. That could have been me if I had taken my peg feelers off, although the centerstand would probably drag first. Looks like that guy's taken both off, explaining why the next thing to touch would be the bags... scary!

When I see Killboy attached to it I can put the dollar it's at the Tail of the Dragon. A magical place every bike should pilgramage to at least once in their lives. I have sat there and watched guys and gals hit the corners that clean. Some of them are trailering race bikes up their just to run a section. Love the smell of racing fuel on the dragon.

Are we sure this isn't staged? Shouldn't the camera be moving with the bike to keep the bike in focus? If so, wouldn't the grassy hill in the background be blurry?

If you take the shot at a high speed with a nice camera, it will look just like this. No blurring.
It does look like he's doing it for real.

You know, if that guy would replace the mushy, under-damped stock shock, maybe revalve the forks and up the spring rate there as well, he could probably carve that corner a lil faster without all the drama. :fing02:

Sorry SEB, I think the silver looks better. Maybe I'm a bit biased by my color choice but the silver one seems to have more lean. Although the sparkies on yours adds a dramatic effect to the shot. :goofy:

Great point CornerCarver. He may be cranked way over but is he really going all that fast? Dramatic lean angles and scrapped hardware do indicate he doesn't have a proper suspension setup.

The sparks were coming from my left peg feeler, and the titanium toe slider on my left boot. I removed my right peg feeler, but decided to leve the left one. If yo ulook at your bike, you'll see that removal of the left feeler *could* allow the centerstand to touch right after the footpeg touches off. That would be really scary! I'd rather have the warning and gring away at the feeler than have no warning and end up on my a$$.

ps - I do have suspension work done, Racetech .90's up front with the forks raised 9mm, and the Ohlins out back ( I keep forgetting the spring rate, it's stiffer than stock, but a hair soft for my weight & balance with the front springs). Sag is set on the stiff end and I had ~60-70lbs of luggage.
I was looking at the two images together and found it interesting. The shot angles are slightly different in the two photos, but take a look at them stacked.. The similarities are uncanny and the few differences are subtle.

To me, it looks like Sebspeed is hanging off more with less lean than mystery rider. Mystery rider seems more in an upright riding position (relatively).

+1...you beat me to it BR. Being that close and over the centerline on The Gap means DEATH.
+1 on the leaning that much too. Isn't necessary to do that to run the Gap quick.
