I Never Realized This Was Happening...

I'm no superstar, but I have virtually no chicken strips front or rear. So I was surprised when I noticed my exhaust header is scraped up. I've seen others post photos of the same thing, but I never realized it was happening to me. I never heard the scraping, but I ride with earplugs 90% of the time. (ATGATT)

Since I now live in a city setting as opposed to the country, this is the first time I've ever worn out the center of a front tire before the sides. Sad.

Dear God, I'm going insane being cooped up in the house. I don't think I can take another winter; I may very well move next year. I guess these are the things you find when you spend time under your bike instead of on top of it...

I found a way to be able to look at my exhaust w/o bending over any more!

I wont quote the picture - but that made me LOL. I instantly was transported back to Texasmac trailer loading episode 1. Your buddy is getting more paint buisness?

That's thanks to the soft stock sproingers. As you are leaned over and entering a corner your suspension gets smooshed up, bringing your hard parts closer to pavement. Your pipes will be safe when you get some stiffer suspension. :squid: :wheel:

Yep. Hit a mid corner bump and your headers go crashing into the ground.

Time for an aftermarket shock with ride height adjustment and setup for your weight. Between those, you shouldn't scrape any more.
