The weather was very nice today. I don't know the actual temp, as I never cared to look; guessing mid-high 50's. But it was a beautiful day to ride. And It's the first day like it since winter started, so I truly felt alive today.

My buddy Ziggy and I just cruised around town, riding, eating lunch, riding, eating dinner and then a final ride to the carwash for a spraydown before heading home.

Zig's 2001 GSXR1000 is the cleanest I know of. I love that bike; one of my all time favorite styles.

Only about 35 miles logged all day, but just being out on it, around it; felt great.

Didn't grab the camera, but here''s a couple phone pics.

Notice the grimey Scranton Snowcone in tha background. Some of the streets were pretty funky, bikes got all the mess.

I'm jealous, I got out for about 10 minutes at lunch just to see the great weather

I think it got close to 70 here near Philly.

I logged about 1/2 a mile on my bike today. I left work early to enjoy the weather, but I've been sick for about 2 weeks so I did some work in the garage. I actually got to open the garage door and do a little cleaning, and I wheeled a few bikes out in the driveway, and let them run for a while. I hopped on the viffer and rode a 1/4 mile down the road to the gas station, turned around, and hit VTEC on the way back...

It was 57 here in RI. All the plastic is off the bike and that is the only reason it did not come out today. I also just painted the headers, polished the wheels and detailed the underbelly and swing arm so I was squeamish about taking her out and making a pig of her. ( what a p&$$y I am). If we get any more like this I think I'm going to put her back together though. I saw a guy out on a BMW today ( those BMW guys are die hards) and I was green with envy. Cheers.

Now this is dirty, maybe it's just the different color showing dirt better.

Trust me, that's about what my bike looked like by the end of the day...

The weather is not quite as nice today; mid thirties and 40mph gusts, but I think I'm going to take a little ride anyway.

Off I go!

Actually...it is latched down. I've got a Corbin seat and the cowl doesn't fit snugly. I've tried a few things to eliminate that gap but it's so small I just live with it.

So I'm sitting at work yesterday (yes had to work a Sunday) anyways I get a text message from my dad, says "Just want to rub it in, put 300km on the snowmobiles yesterday (that was Saturday) and 100km on the bike today. What a nice guy, knows I'm at work and he just has to rub it in. ...
