Try this; rev it past 6400 RPM. It's not a Harley, it will be okay. I promise. ;)

Try this; rev it past 6400 RPM. It's not a Harley, it will be okay. I promise. ;)

Hey, you can to rev a Harley past 6400.......just once.

Did Freddie use a 6th gen VFR too or just the 5th? Taking mine to the big track at Willow Springs next month. I doubt it will see much south of 6400 rpm there.

LOL, I was kidding of course. On some nice twisty roads I spend more time in VTEC than below it (7k rpm on my '04). The engine just sings up there, plus 8k-10k just feels like a 'sweet spot' to me. It's a great range for fine throttle control, much better than lower in the tach IMO.

6th Gen as well. I remember reading a rider report of Freddie's Track school and the comment about the "new" VFR Freddie passed him on. ;)

I love the way it starts, couldn't have put it better myself. Actually I couldn't have put it better or I would work for a news paper testing motorcycles not working in a nuclear plant.

Honda's VFR800 has long been labelled the perfect Gentleman's Express.
It's a motorcycle that maintains the creature comforts a man of means requires,
but can go like stink when His Lordship is late for the regatta.
