Hi everyone, I was putting my bike on the center stand the other day to clean the chain and played around with the brakes. I put it into gear and started to move the rear wheel while on the center stand (off the ground). When I grabbed the front brakes, the rear wheel didn't stop or slow at all! I thought our bikes (mine's abs version) had linked brakes that when grabbing front brakes, 1 piston activiates on the back when stepping on the rear brake, 2 pistons activate on the front as well?
Does this mean I need to bring it for service? Thanks guys
Lots of people do that and then think that the LBS if broken. Take a close look at the front left brake disc and then look at the secondary master cyclinder attached to it and you will see how its designed to work - and then you will figure out why its not working *ON THE CENTERSTAND*. The bike has to be moving to operate that secondary master cyclinder.

Damn... and I was thinking I could get a new set of brakes from my dealer lol
Don't worry I did the same thing just after I got my 07, took me an hour with the service manual to see my mistake

There is a sevive recall on a valve that links the brakes. I had mine checked out and it was FREE
and now you know that you CAN do burnouts with the VFR!!
