As my mighty VFR rides ever closer to 100,000km (88,000km at the moment) I am starting to think about what may need to have some TLC to carry on for the next 100,000km. It's been regularly serviced in accordance with the Manual, by whom I hope, are reasonably competent spanner jockeys, but I'm thinking of larger things. Things that aren't regularly serviced but are something I might want to consider.
The kind of thing I am thinking about are stuff like
fork oils, seals etc (from the sounds of it, I have left this a while too long?)
clutches
umm other stuff??
cam chain tensioners (done once at 55,000 already)
I haven't noticed anything that makes me concerned, and am not aware of anything to worry about. Recent servicings haven't had any notes (other than the normal consumables pads, chains etc) But if I have some time and money are there any suggestions on this kind of work.
Would also appreciate any Aussies who can point me in the right direction for suspension upgrades (in Sydney?) as I see a few comments about the rear shock.
