Electrical Problems On An 09 ?

Can anyone verify if the 2009 model year electrical harness has all the fixes as standard and that all known problems are definately cured ?

All the demons were killed by the 2006 model year. There's something to be said for building the same bike for 8 years. Old problems get solved and new ones don't arrive each model year with the latest, greatest upgrades.

I had been wondering the same thing for quite a while. I was curious if the newest of the new generation still had recalls for anything. If I were to grab a left over '07 from my local dealership, is there anything that needs to be tended to right away? There seem to be several new '07s available here and there. R/R problems fixed? Wiring harnesses fixed? etc...

Electrical Demons do not appear for the first few years, I would keep an eye on them, but nothing should be needed at this time. They didn't change the stuff that matters besides the Blue Connector, so I don't see how the Electrical can really be improved....

I wouldn't put any $$ on it. Seems it has been improved, but I doubt fixed. There has been a recent post of, (if I recall), an '07, with some problems.

I wouldn't trust, the word, of mother Honda, on this one. We were told for years, that there was no problem. Some were even charged for new harnesses, (prior to recall), and told that the accessories they added, caused failure. :dry:

Take solace in the fact, that VFRD members can help, with most any problem.
