Just curious if its just me but the VFR lines are so nice except when you see a picture of one leaning over with all the exhaust and crap visible underneath..
I have never seen an under bike cover. Anyone seen one or make one?
I plan to make one to cover the ugly up. Maybe in carbon fiber or just glass. Carbon would be more heat resistant.
I'll post pictures of he project as it goes along. Probably start it next month I am deep in BMW projects.... :(

It's the resin, that you want to be sure, is high temp, min. shrinkage. (And NO bubbles in the part, in such heat). Keep in mind, it's cramped, under there. That may be why, I haven't seen them. Prolly wind up scraping them.

I don't see how it could scrape. All the sport bikes have everything covered up.
I may try the fiber out first then try carbon, I have both.
I have heard of people scraping their headers on tight curves (lots of lean)...not sure if this would affect you or your riding of course.
They scrape the bottom of the bike.....
Yeah, no that won't effect me I don't plan to lean mine over that far.. Maybe on track but no way on the street.
I've had one to many cases of 30mph bicycle road rash, with lycra on, to even think about risking dumping the bike due to dragging knees on public roads...

Personally I lilke all that crap, although if I could get ride of the cat (it's fugly) and just have a connector pipe, that'd be more betterer.
I like the way my bike looks from most angles,
except for that urglee mofo of a swingarm, the nearly as ugly hub, and the stupid DumboEared/MadOnnaBoobies front confirminators (which aren't so urglee now they live in the cupboard).
I'm glad I didn't buy a 6th Gen now, as I'd have to close my eyes when I walked into the garage or parking lot... :491:

Most bikes are open at the botttom, I suspect, for access to the oil pan drain, other maintenance functions and maybe, additional cooling.
I remember, I think it was SBK that made it mandatory years ago for teams to install or mould in belly undertrays to contain any spilled oil that might result in spilling oil after an engine blows up. I think it was in reaction to a fatal accident in one race some years ago, where a Japanese racer crashed his bike on oil that spilled off a Ducati that had it's engine explode right in front of him. His bike ended up flipping and unfortunately landing on him.
