I'm helping my neighbor fix her 6th gen after a driveway tip over and thought I'd shop for a right side panel and the entire headlight cowl to compare with a paint job that never matches.......
If anyone is parting one out or knows of a good source, I'd appreciate knowing it. I was able to save about 100 bucks on a right side fairing a couple years ago thru a FL dealer, but my source seems to be gone now.
What year, what color? Does she want brand new pieces or just good condition?? I just replaced the parts you mentioned, I get a big discount at my Kaw dealer...List price on the upper cowl was $528...I paid $408. List price on the right side panel was $531....I paid $386....Total would be $845 including tax....
Yes, more information required. In 2005 the red was R258 'Winning Red'.
Depending on the color code, I may have what you're looking for. You'll find it on a white sticker on the black frame under the seat.

I really thot red was red. Shoulda known better. I don't have access to the bike now, but I wanna say it's an 02. She got it used after I sold my silver 03 and I always think of it as newer, but now I'm not sure. I'll check asap and get back on with the correct year. I know it's more money, but personally, I prefer a new, or good used, etc than a paint job. I've never seen one that didn't look like a "paint job", even when they're good. A good body guy can cut and buff on the large areas of car fenders and hoods, etc until it looks like factory or better, but it just aint always so when it comes to lil ol pieces of tupperware.
After 3 STs and two VFRs, I've learned a little about scrapes, drops, and fixes. And I didn't even want to. Imagine.

She has chosen to go the re-paint route via a friend who runs his own re-touch shop. He is well known in our area for doing excellent work, but I appreciate everyones' quick response to my request. Thanks and I'll keep your advice in mind.
