Which Way Do I Turn To Add More Preload To The Rear?

I know I could look this up somewhere, but I'm already on the road and can only check from my phone, and would like to add some preload. Do I turn the adjustment wrench up or down to add preload?

I believe you have a stock shock, and if that is the case you can see the ramps as you turn the collar. And FWIW, you will be turning the wrench towards the front or rear of the bike, not really up and down.

From the manual for a non-abs:

Turn clockwise:

Decrease the spring pre-load


Turn counter-clockwise:

Increase the spring pre-load


Pre-load adjuster standard position:

2nd groove
