So this is my new baby ... or at least it will be on Wednesday next week !
It comes with a bunch of mods including the Two Bros cans. However I am not sure I like the way they hang way out past the tail lights. I would prefer a look where they were tight up under the tail so what I am wondering is if you can cut off a few inches of an exhaust can and weld it back together without any sacrafice in the sound/performance and longevity of the exhaust itself ?
Yes you can cut them. You need to drill the rivets out of the end, pull the can off, mark it with tape around the circumference and cut with a grinding wheel or similar. The you'll need to cut the baffle shorter, drill new holes for the rivets and put back together. But doing this will definitely make it louder.
Unless you're doing it all yourself, I think you'd be better off selling them and buying a set of LeoVince's plus you get the ability to choose the sound level.

Why not just cut the pipes that connect the cans, instead of the beautiful cans  :fing02:
That is the thought, I havent seen the bike in person yet so I dont know how much room there might be to shorten the pipes and pull the cans back under the tail. That would be perfect if it works out though.

If I cant modify the current setup easily then thats excatly what I will do, just sell em and go find exactly what I want.
Staintunes (ST) may look better, but IMO the TB's sound MUCH better. My buddies ST's have a mellow sound. My Micron out sounds the ST's (for the G6 Viffer, anyway) hands down. I'm just glad that we all have our personal preferences and do as we wish....blah, blah, blah, blah...yada!
ps.: hidesertmlb, slow and steady does NOT win the race. That is just a fairy tale...we all know that the rabbit smoked the turtle. The outcome was changed to prevent traumatization of young, sensitive minds. (lol)
