Installing a Staintune catless header and two brothers VALE exhaust. I have the stock heavy cans off, and the stock front and rear header nuts off ... having trouble removing the stock header.
Do I need to take off the center stand? To get to a bolt, nut or some other PITA connector I cant see with the center stand on ... or am I missing something else?
Staintune catless header?
MD
Yes ... I bought them used with a PCIII ... he had them ceramic coated they look really good for beign used. Just can't figure out how to get the cat and header out. There is some bolt around the cat I am missing
You do have to seperate the rear down tubes from the main header to get the system in or out. Also as mentioned I think there might be a single bolt on the top of the CAT holding it to the frame.
When installing the new pipes, get all pipes in place with the bolts just slightly snug then stick a floor jack under the rear of the collector area and jack the system up a little towards the frame. This helps tuck it up under the bike further and also help in fully getting the rear tubes into the collector.
Figured it out ... didn't have to remove the center stand .. just had to use the side stand to get a bolt out and then I put the center stand back down ... easy easy
