Is A Cbr Mirror Close To A Vfr Mirror?

I was at the dealership the other day and took a quick look at the new CBRs. The mirrors looked pretty similar to VFRs. I was in a rush and didn't have time to ask the part people, but does anyone have any experience with this? I'm looking for a cheap temporary replacement until I get the other set installed with integrated lights and the CBR mirrors seem a lot more common on fleabay.

Bolt pattern is the same at least from 2000-2006 across the board on Honda sporting bikes. Mounts are near identical, save for angle. The stalks are shorter on the CBR mirrors, combined with the different angle will still serve as a rear mirror, but how much of the road you will see is questionable...

Edit: just get a cheap set of knockoff VFR mirrors. They're only about $18 each IIRC, from Emgo. www.denniskirk.com carries them.

I had a set of the emgo cbr mirrors on my 04 at one point. The angle of them coming off the front is a lot lower. Low enough, in fact that you have a more clear and unobstructed view behind you. IIRC I had to take the right mirror and put it on the left and vice versa to get the angles to work correctly...
