Forgive me; after breaking in the first 1,400 miles and installing a PC3 tuned by speciallists to local available gasoline that has a high alcohol content, the bike has changed and now performs great!!!!.
Now I love it as I love my old carbed 95 model. Actually it�s a better bike for handling, brakes and suspension. Missing only the gear driven camshaft whine! :biggrin:

Sometimes I think we all get caught up in our own little world (the USA) and forget that there are members from all over the world posting here. It amazes me at how much "gasoline" differs from one part of the world to another. Sometimes I think it is a miracle that the VFR seems to handle all parts of the world somehow, someway.
Nice that it worked out for you, they really are great bikes!

You get more horsepower on the high octane gas? Too bad PCIII doesn't have timing adjust...

I didn't want to put it in the dyno yet to get the power and torque curves, because the bike is new and I'm going gently with her, but in first gear it wants to wheelie without much efort on the grip. The dynajet shop mechanic, told me it was not needed to change timing, however
Glad you got your bike running well. I use pure gasoline in all my gas engines (cars, bikes, lawn tools, etc.). On my list of usual routes, I've scouted out stations that have real gasoline instead of corn fuel and it really makes a difference. There are stations out there in my neck of the woods. Just have to look for them. I bet there is a web site that locates them. I'll look. :fing02:
