Well i finally did it! A year and a half after registering on this most excellent board, i got a steal on a leftover non abs 25th anniversary edition vfr. i've wanted a vfr for so long and couldn't believe my good fortune when i told a local dealer my one and only offer and they accepted, and i'm lousy at that kind of thing. from time to time i'd pop my head into this dealer just to admire what to me has always been one of if not the best looking bike around, no offense to all the other interceptors. now i am a legitimate member also. will follow up with pictures later, just as soon as i calm down lol.

well small world, as a matter of fact yes i did take it up north to sonoma county. i'll take some photos next time, if i can remember without being in such a hurry to get on the bike and get out.
Welcome here! Ahhhh, another one joins the dark RWB side! Resistance is futile! You will be assimilated! If you don't mind, what did you have to give for it? TIA. Oh yeah, even though we know what they look like, pics please?
The RWB 25th is special. Congrats
And without the ABS you can do stoppies :fing02:

Congrats... they are great. I was surprised when I made a similar discovery back in March.
Congrats on your new VFR! :)
oh thanks all and to be unequivocal, i think that is the word i want, let me just say that i love the v4, and really don't know why i am so mentally challenged to have waited so long? the vfr really is a special bike, i don't care if honda comes out with some new v5, i mean not really. when i look at, say, a '94 to '97, was it a fourth generation right? what a beautiful machine!
and they all look killer really, especially in red white and blue, to me at least, i just love to ride this bike and man i am no rookie to diversity, have had so many sport touring types over the recent past, yeah that includes bmw, yamaha, triumph and now honda. all i can say is i am totallly infatuated, god forbid, am i in love? lol, with the one and only, the vfr? ok i'll cop to it, but i'm thinking i'm not alone?
i know it doesn't have the gear driven cams but man it still sounds good when i get on it, and the torque curve is totally fat, or phat, if you will lol, but the sound underneath is even more sublime, and that is just stock. yeah the only thing this bike really needs is a fender eliminator. and ofcourse one hell of a lot more miles ridden. i love it, just sayin. promise pictures to follow on skaggs springs road sometime later this week. now that i'm legitimate lol. :+1:
