Well as the title says - I'm looking for the best suspension setting for when I'm touring with my girlfriend. My previous bike was a scooter (Silverwing) so the VFR is quite the downgrade when it comes to comfort.
My bike is equipped with rear grab rails and a rear GIVI case that also provides passenger back support. however I need help from experienced riders.

My wife says that the VFR is more of a ''Me-bike" than a "We-bike". I agree.
Set the suspension for the weight that you saddle the bike with.
Nothing is truly "one size fits all"
In the past two years, I've worked the wife up to 300+ miles on occasions.
I guess what I'm saying is 2 up is possible, but the VRF is not the best bike for it.
It is a great place to launch into a full blown case of MBS, multiple bike syndrome.
You need to set the proper preload. Search this site or google for "set sag."
Do it once with just you, geared up, with your normal stuff, then again with your wife. Remember, or write down the number of clicks/turns between the two settings, and you can change between them quickly.

FYI< the number of turns/clicks is only referring to those that have the ABS model, we non ABS modelers do not have that cool luxury! Wish mine was that easy to adjust.

Non ABS is actually easier to remember which click you're on. There are only 7.
