So after almost a year of riding the same tires I bought the VFR with I finaly put some new Pilot Powers on it...

They guy at the shop who mounted them told me the back was normal but the front looked really bad since it was flat on the sides and flat across the top... Must have been pretty bad since he told me the same thing three times... The front was below the wear bar, as you could see the rubber changing compund or something :goofy:

MAN! new tires are awsome!!! My buddy kept telling me "wait till you put some new tires on it" Was he right... handling is so much better now. Much easier to lean it over into sweepers it just feels like it wants to turn now before it felt like I had to make it lean over..

New tires rock!! :fing02: :fing02: :fing02:

New tires are great. My current front tire is shaped like an octagon, and it definitely has negative effects on handling.

New tires do rock! It's amazing how you don't notice the old tires handling fading.
Until you put on new.

I like the choice of Pilot Powers. Works for me.

I just got new skins too, better than sex, I can't afford PPs right now being broke and out of work they would break me at 2 sets a month, but I am a lardass :( , and I guess push a little.

The guy that had my 98 before me must have run those diablos at about 6 psi, they were worn all kind of funky

Yeah I could not afford a new set either... BUT. I painted some race plastic for buddy and he gave me his take off rear with about 150 miles on it . And a new one front from eBay for 105 including shipping. I was kinda surprised, the tire went for 90 plus 15 shipping....

My front was the octagone...

I was really really surprised at the change... Had no idea they had gotten that bad.... ;p

I thought about painting the wheels bronze but decide I would rather go ride than paint wheels...

New tire = new bike!

It still amazes me how good new tires feel to me, but hell I get new tires evry few months so it's not as long a period of time as yours.

So, the moral to the story is always ask for round tires and don't EVEN try to keep up with Baileyrock when he's going at his scenic speed!!!!

it made my foot feel better too :goofy: Phhhh it still hurts just not as much...

I rode 105 miles Friday night... With two friends. I called home at 8:30 to check in with my wife and let her know I was okay. She asked me "so you going to be home at 9 to watch a movie..." me.. "ahhh yeah sure..." Had to take the interboring state home... I think I will probably NOT be a iron butt touring guy... I can ride a few hours without stopping though. stopping=no fun...

After a year of riding I now know why people trailer bikes to twisty places...

I hope to be able to wear tires out in a few months one day if I can...
